MELISSA'S (SGA WEBMASTERS) MEMORIES:

I guess my first SG memory was seeing the Wannabe video on a variety show in Australia called "Hey Hey It's Saturday". I remember thinking "Oh my god, who are these tarts?". (OMG! Lol) Needless to say, I got over that very quickly as Wannabe grew and grew on me. As the album & SYBT came out here, I kept interested and liked their music, but once 2 Become 1 came out, I was hooked. The video, the song - perfect! I remember when I was waiting for Mama / Who Do You Think You Are to be released and I was watching a music show here called "Video Hits" and I saw an ad for Spice with clips from all the videos. I remember screaming at the tv for the show to play the videos as I hadn't seen them yet! My most significant memory I guess would be watching the Istanbul concert - it was then that I became absolutely obsessed! (Within reason! Lol) I brought all the merchandise & mags I could find (I even sat on the floor of my local Target to make sure that I had every Push Pop!) & taped every scrap of footage I could! When they came to Australia was great for me as they were on every news broadcast and entertainment show here! It was great seeing the girls in places I was familiar with. I suppose, as for most SG fans, my worst memory was Geri leaving - especially as she was my favourite. The 2000 era was great, but I remember feeling ripped off after waiting for 3 years for a new album and only getting 1 single (thank god it was a double a-side). My best memory would have to be June 28, 2007 when I was watching Sky News & I saw the 5 girls together again. I was so happy and excited I almost cried! Forget any announcement! LOL!
