The girls looks in 1999 was vastly different from the personas fans were used to. Gone were the tracksuits, baby doll dresses and animal print outfits. In their places were designer bustiers and beaded outfits. The girls were out of the spotlight for most of the year so

The general look was more designer, sleek and sophisticated.

In 1999, Victoria was mostly seen in hlater-neck dresses and pants and tshirt. Gone was her "Little Gucchi Dress" forever and her hair was much shorter.

In 1999, Emma most often seen in pants and bustier tops. Her look was sleeker and more adult. Her hair was wispier and shorter and her shoes were heels and buffallo shoes.

In 1999, Melanie C was usually seen in singlet tops, jeans, tube tops and designer pants. Her hair started in a shorter darker do, went to a shorter ligher cut, then went short, blonde and spikey! Her shoes were still trainers.

In 1999, Melanie B was most often in bra tops and pants or tshirts and pants. She still wore combat boots and was often snapped in her swimwear while overseas in the US recording her debut album.
