| MEL C TELLS ALL
TO ID MAGAZINE |
The Spice Girl who talks the least
about this type of thing seems to have released
more info about it then any of the other girls.
Apparently in an interview with ID magazine Mel
revealed that she lost her virginity at the age
of 16.
Mel is apparently quoted as saying: "It was
getting to the point with my boyfriend where we
were getting more intimate with each other. So
when nobody was around I lost my virginity on the
bunk bed I used to share with my brother. I
wanted to have sex before I was 16 though I never
got round to it."

| SMALL ISRAELI
INTERVIEW |
The Spice Girls were interviewed
on an Israeli televsion show
about a week and a half ago. It was mostly
routine stuff,
but there was this exchange:
Q: Your new album is due in Spring '99. Some of
the songs
(that) were destined to be there were written
with Geri
originally. Are you going to include them too?
A: (By Emma:) Ummm, well, for the next album, we
will be
writing brand new songs; and, you know, we're
taking it
slowy and enjoying the process, because we've
been very very
busy, the last album we did was due with the
film, so it was
a bit hectic, but this time we're taking our
time. We don't
want to say just yet when it would be out,
'cause, you know,
we wanna enjoy it in the process. (MelB in the
background: takin' it easy, man!)

| GERI AND PARKY |
Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell
is set to give her first UK television interview
since quitting the group. She will be joining
Michael Parkinson for a Girl Power-charged
edition of his chat show in the New Year. Other
guests will include Countdown co-host Carol
Vorderman and Vicar Of Dibley star Dawn French.
Halliwell left the Spice Girls in May, just days
before the start of their American tour. She
blamed 'personal differences' for the split,
which was announced in a terse statement by her
lawyer. Since leaving the group, she has signed
up as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and
campaigned to raise awareness about breast
cancer. She has also signed a £2.1 million solo
recording contract with EMI.
ps:
Merry Christmas !!!

| GERI JOINS TOP 25
INTRIGUING PEOPLE |
While the Spice Girls are top of
the Christmas charts for the third year running,
Geri Halliwell is winning attention on the other
side of the Atlantic.
The former Ginger Spice has been included in
People magazine's choice of the 25 most
intriguing people of 1998 for leaving the
all-girl group at the height of its fame. She is
the only Briton to be included on the list which
is drawn up by editorial staff on the top-selling
American publication.
It is made up of people who are judged to have
done something of major interest in the past
year. The list also includes First Lady Hillary
Clinton for her stoic response to the Monica
Lewinsky affair, actor Michael J Fox for
highlighting his battle with Parkinson's disease
and pensioner astronaut John Glenn. Kenneth Starr
is also included for his pursuit of the President
while actor Leonardo di Caprio makes it for
backing off from acting after the massive success
of Titanic.
Halliwell, 26, is described by the magazine as
having "disconnected her Girl Power and
emerged as a surprisingly admirable post-Spice
woman". Since walking away from the
chart-topping group in May, Geri has swapped her
platform boots and tiny Union Jack mini dress for
a simple, chic new look - and taken up good
works.
In recent months she has raised awareness of
breast cancer, been made a United Nations
goodwill ambassador and sold her Spice Girl
clothes to raise money for charity. She stepped
back into the limelight to sing Happy Birthday to
the Prince of Wales at the London gala
celebrating his 50th birthday.

Victoria, and especially to all my loyal
visitors.
Look out for much more from this site in
the near future.
Meanwhile
"Goodbye" enters the US charts

| SANTA SPICE |
The Spice Girls turned Santa as
they handed out presents to the delight of
youngsters in a hospital ward. Three of the girls
made a surprise visit to the Royal London
Hospital in Whitechapel to brighten up the day
for children in the wards.
Melanie C, Emma Bunton and pregnant Victoria
Adams spent more than an hour, speaking to the
children during a live broadcast by 95.8 Capital
FM hosted by Chris Tarrant and Neil Fox.
DJ Neil Fox said: "The Spice Girls did quite
a lot of stuff visiting the different wards with
us and then they wanted to go off and have a look
round on their own. "They were very sweet
and all the kids loved them." During the
broadcast, part of the "Share a Capital
Christmas" campaign, the station gave away
presents to patients and staff, including one
nurse who won a trip to the Philippines.
"People tend to forget hospital staff to a
certain extent so it was nice to be able to help
out," said Fox. "We've had some very
kind people helping out with presents."

| SPICE GIRL SEEKS
HONEYMOON DESTINATION |
Posh Spice Victoria Adams and
footballer fiance David Beckham are reportedly
planning to spend their honeymoon on the remote
island of Bora Bora. The couple, who are due to
marry in July, want to get away from it all on
the isolated Pacific isle near Tahiti, The Sun
claimed. The French Polynesian island is so
quiet, it does not even have phone lines. But
pregnant Posh refused to confirm her dream
destination. 'We haven't finalised the details
yet. It could be Bora Bora or Bournemouth,' she
said.

| SPICE DJ'S |
Each of the Spice Girls took turns
co-hosting a radio show today at Radio 1(UK) and
it was Mel C's turn for Zoe Ball's Breakfast
Show. Mel got a pair of red knickers as a New
Year's present from Zoe. She sang a Marilyn Moroe
style happy birthday song to soccer star Michael
Owen. She also dedicated the song to her
step-mother Carol. After the show Mel said
"I was really nervous, but they were a great
crew and a great laugh. They made you feel really
relaxed. They really look after you and even
provide you with clean underwear."
Baby
Spice Emma Bunton failed to turn up for a
scheduled stint as a Radio 1 DJ because she was
too "ill" to appear on outspoken
presenter Chris Moyles' show.
The
star had been lined up - along with the rest of
the band - as the station's guests throughout the
day to tie in with the release of latest single
Goodbye.
Moyles is noted for his regular digs at the band
and even has a slot on his show called "All
Emmas Are Evil", prompting speculation the
singer could have stayed away because of Moyles'
attitude.

| SPICE FANS RUSH
OUR FOR GOODBYE |
Spice Girls fans are rushing to
the shops to snap up the first copies of Goodbye,
the single that is clear favourite to top the
charts at Christmas. But even before its, the
chart saw an unprecedented show of Girl Power -
with the first all-female top five for the first
time.
B*witched managed to oust Cher from her
seven-week reign at number one, pushing her into
second place, followed by Billie, Mariah Carey
and Whitney Houston, and Honeyz. But bookmakers
believe there is little chance of B*witched
staying there for a second week, with William
Hill giving odds of 25-1.
The runaway favourites are the Spice Girls and
Hill's have now cut odds on the group racking up
a third consecutive Christmas number one from 1-5
to 1-6 over the weekend.
Spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "There was
further support over the weekend after the girls
appeared on the Lottery programme. There's little
to suggest that their campaign is not working out
very nicely. "It's looking more and more
difficult to see what could possibly stop them
becoming number one."
The group's nearest rival is Chef - from the cult
cartoon show South Park - with Chocolate Salty
Balls at 6-1. Johnny and Denise's Especially For
You is at 9-1, with Jane McDonald at 10-1.
Goodbye has become the joint biggest ship-out
from the Spice Girls' record company Virgin with
around 700,000 copies sent to record stores
before the release date. Previously the group's 2
Become 1 - which topped the charts at Christmas
1996 - had been the biggest on the label's books.

Goodbye
is released in the UK today so

| SPICE GIRLS IN
DENMARK |
He looks like an actor.
No, he looks like a stripper. The words
came from Emma and Melanie C when Jarl
Friis-Mikkelsen showed the two Spice
Girls a picture of the Danish crown
prince.
Half of the Spice Girls visited
Copenhagen to take part in Denmark's most
popular TV show called "Skattefri
Lørdag" (Tax-free Saturday). Emma
and Melanie C weren't enthusiastic about
the "get to know the guest face to
face" part of the interview and at
one point Emma said: "You are really
sweet" after which Jarl stopped the
personal questions.
You can watch the show on Denmark's DR1
on December 19 8PM CET.

| SPICE GIRLS @
ROYAL VARIETY SHOW |
| The Prince of Wales met up
with his old pals the Spice Girls and
quizzed the group's pregnant pair about
their growing bumps. And the Prince,
attending the 77th Royal Variety
Performance at the Lyceum theatre in
London, even |
|
reached out towards the
bulge of Posh Spice, Victoria Adams.
The Prince asked her and band mate Mel G
when they were due as he met them in the
line-up after the group performed at the
fund-raising event. "Have you been
doing lots of exercise?" he asked
Victoria, to which Mel G replied:
"Yeah, this" as she mimed
eating.
Victoria, whose baby is due in February,
was too heavily pregnant to dance so the
band were seated on a glittering block
for their rendition of new single
Goodbye, the favourite to be Christmas
number one. |

| DJ SPICE (S) |

| BECKS SHOPS FOR A
NEW CAR |
Manchester United stars David
Beckham and Ryan Giggs could soon be driving
around in identical cars. Giggs was the first to
buy a Ferrari 550 Maranello - and liked it so
much he recommended it to Beckham. Now Beckham
and pregnant fiancée Posh Spice Victoria Adams
have been spotted looking at a similar £151,000
car, The Sun reported. The couple - whose baby is
due early next year - visited a car showroom in
Egham, Surrey, to look at the dream motor.
Beckham had a 20-minute test drive while Posh
waited patiently at the garage. The 550 Maranello
- Ferrari's fastest road car - has a top speed of
199mph and does 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. If Beckham
decides to take it home, the luxury motor will be
in good company - he already has a Ranger Rover,
a Jaguar XK8 and a BMW M3 Evolution convertible
