GERI
TO SPLIT?
|
It has been reported that Geri as
hired lawyers to help her handle the split with
the Spice Girls.
The
future of the top British pop band was looking
increasingly gloomy as even their record company
admitted the falling out between the remaining
four girls and 25-year-old Geri might not be
resolved.
Feisty Geri, known as Ginger Spice, was tonight
in hiding somewhere in Europe suffering from
"nervous exhaustion" as the result of a
gruelling tour schedule and a recent bout of
gastroenteritis.
There
is also rumours of a fight between the girls
before the National Lottery and that Geri wan't
ill at all.
There
is expected to be an official announcement this
weekend.

SPICE
SPLIT?
|
Last night the Spice Girls were in
shock, after Geri failed to turn up for their
concert in Oslo, sparking fears that she has
split from the Spice Girls for good.
In
a shock move, which stemmed from her refusal to
perform on the National Lottery show on Wednesday
night, the other girls were forced to perform the
show as a fab foursome, with Mel C. taking over
most of Geri's lyrics in their songs.
Of all the girls, geri has long been tipped as
the one most likely to embark on a solo career.
She is the most outspoken member of the band, and
after the split from manager Simon Fuller last
year, became the public leader of the group,
although she always maintained she was not in
charge.
The other girls are said to be in shock, and in
the dark as to Geri's motives. There has
apparently been some friction between Geria and
the other girls recently, as Geri felt she wasn't
getting the respect she deserved, and the others
felt Geri wasn't working as part of the team.
Last
night, the girls covered superbly for Geri,
claiming to fans that she was ill and in bed, but
in reality, none of them have had any contact
with her since Wednesday, after her refusal to
turn up for the lottry show.
The
girls are going to have a crisis meeting with
Geri next week, to try to ensure she stays with
the group, and performs on the American leg of
the world tour, due to start in two weeks time.
Could
the feisty five survive as the fab four? Let me
know what you think about this crisis, and should
the girls allow Geri to leave if she wants to?

GERI
ILL
|
One, two, three,
four. Only four Spice Girls on the stage
and balcony in Oslo, Norway. "It is
unclear whether Geri Halliwell will be
back with the Spice Girls in time to
start the US leg of their tour,

The girls

|
| according to the band's
publicists. A spokeswomen said that Geri
was suffering from 'gastroneteritis' but
could not say if she would be back for
the band's american dates beginning on
the 16th June. "We have no-idea. We
haven't been able to find out
anything," she said. But she
dismissed speculation that the Spice
Girls are about to split, saying that
people where "jumping to
conclusions." |

GERI
ILL
|
|
The
Spice Girls' punishing schedule took its
toll on one member of the band, when
Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell was laid low
by a stomach virus. Geri was too ill to
perform with the other band |
members on the
BBC's midweek lottery programme, billed
in TV schedules as The Spice Girls at the
National Lottery Draw. Asked where the
fifth band member was, when the Fab Four
appeared at the start of the show, Sporty
Spice Mel C told presenter Carol Smillie:
"Geri's not very well tonight - so
get well soon Geri."
While Mel B, Mel C, Emma and Victoria
sang their new single Viva Forever, Geri
was being looked after by mum Ann Marie
at her farmhouse near Watford, Herts.
Last night a spokesman for Geri insisted
she pulled out because of illness. He
said: "Geri was suffering from
gastro-enteritis and wasn't well enough
to perform." A BBC spokesman said:
"As far as we know she is
unwell." A spokesman for Lotto firm
Camelot, who hoped the girls' appearance
would attract a record audience for the
show, said: "As far as we are
concerned it is a matter for the
BBC." |

GERI'S
CANCER SCARE
|
| Buxom
. . . but Geri feared she might lose one of her
boob SPICE Girl Geri Halliwell had an emergency
op in a breast cancer scare, she revealed last
night. Ginger Spice Geri, 25, needed surgery to
cut out a small lump. She then had to wait three
terrifying days to find out if the growth was
malignant. If it had been, the breast might have
been removed. Geri said: "It was an
absolutely hideous time." Fortunately, the lump
turned out to be be nign. Speaking for the first
time about her ordeal, Geri - who wears a 36C bra
- told The Sun: "I knew that if the lump was
cancerous I would lose my breast. "I've
always been known for having big boobs and to
have that taken away was a horrifying thought.
"The millionaire star was just 18 when she
discovered the lump on her right breast. She
said: "It was a really tough time. But it
made me realise how precious life is."
In
an interview for cancer awareness, which the
girls will be supporting on this week's Top Of
The Pops, Geri revealed that she was petrified
that she might loose her breasts due to the
desease.
The girls are
due to perform their new single, Viva Forever on
the pop show on Friday night, and will also be
promoting the video release of Spiceworld The
Movie.

CRAZED
KILLER MANSON WANTS TO MEET SPICE GIRLS
|
Charles Manson who's cult know as
his "Family" killed actress Sharon Tate
and friends in the 60's says he will happily kill
himself by means of lethal injection if he can
meet all 5 Spice Girls. Manson is apparently
obsessed with the 5 girls and his prison guards
say that he spends all his time obsessing over
them and watching their videos. A spokesperson
for the girls said that this is sick and twisted
and there is no way the girls will ever meet with
him.

MEL
B AND JIMMY ENGAGED
|
WOULD you believe it! Scary Spice
Mel B has got engaged to her dancer lover after a
whirlwind 10-week romance.
Jimmy Gulzar proposed to the shocked singer over
a candle-lit dinner in Paris, the capital of
romance, on Wednesday night.
The proposal came just days after a topless Mel
was spotted frolicking on the beach with Jimmy
during a break on the French Riviera (left).
Mel, 23, shrieked with delight as he went down on
one knee and presented her with a diamond
engagement ring.
"I didn't think anybody would ever ask
me!" she cried before flinging her arms
around Jimmy who plays her male double on the
SpiceWorld tour.
The magical moment was witnessed by one of my
spies at the next table. Jimmy, 25, sprung his
surprise after another sell-out show in the city.
He booked a midnight table for two at the
ultra-chic Buddha Bar, a subterranean
American-Oriental eaterie favoured by Hollywood
stars and supermodels.
The pair sat in the shadow of a 10ft golden
Buddha statue in the centre of the £50-a-head
restaurant.
Mel, in a revealing black top and tight trousers
with her hair tied into a braid, arrived first
with two minders. Then Jimmy made his entrance
carrying a huge bouquet of white roses.
They ate spring rolls and egg noodles, washed
down with two bottles of vintage champagne. Then
Jimmy disappeared to the toilet before returning
with the glittering engagement ring.
"Mel was gobsmacked," my spy gushed.
"Jimmy went down on one knee and opened up
the box. It was the biggest diamond I've ever
seen. She was nearly in tears. She was clapping
and shouting. They had been kissing and giggling
through the meal. Obviously, they are deeply in
love."
To celebrate, the couple then went onto the dance
floor for a smooch.
"They were very passionate and acted as if
there was nobody else in the place," my man
added.
The couple retired to a private room in the
restaurant. Modesty forbids me speculating on
what went on there.
The Leeds-born singer - real name Melanie Brown -
turned to Jimmy after splitting from Icelander
Fjolnir Thorgeirsson, 26, in March.
She fell for Jimmy while performing their dirty
dancing routines together.
"He's a good one, really lovely. I'd have to
give him at least 100 out of 10!" joked Mel
when they went public with their romance.
She obviously wasn't joking.

GIRLS DANISH BOYCOTT
|
The Danish photographers are
threatening to boycott the Spice Girls concerts
in Denmark if they have to sign a contract which
will give the Spice Girls control over their
pictures. Photographers in the rest of Europe had
to sign contracts before they would be allowed to
take pictures of the Spice Girls. The Spice Girls
don't want the pictures used on unofficial
t-shirts and posters. One week before the
concerts it will be know if the Danish
photographers will have to sign a contract, but
Virgin Records have already promised that they
don't have to.
