SPICE GIRLS #1 IN AUSTRALIA

The Spice Girls have achieved a #1 album in Australia with their Greatest Hits selling over 70, 000 in their first week of release. This means the album will be certified Platinum!

In the girls Hey Day in 96/97/98 even Spice & Spiceworld didn't reach #1 in Australia, so it's a great achievement.

KHEADLINES OUT IN UK

The Spice Girls have released their new single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) today. Many fans should now be able to get a copy of the girls 11th single. UK residents remember that profits for UK sales are going to Children In Need.

GIRLS PERFORM FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 7 YEARS!

The Spice Girls, over the last two days, have given their first TV performances in over 7 years. Yesterday they hit the stage at the Victoria's Secrets Fashion Show and performed "Stop" and "Headlines", then today, they performed

"Stop" and "Headlines" via satellite for BBC's Children In Need. The girls sported 40's inspired army outfits for their "Stop" performances and vintage Roberto Cavalli (who is also designing their tour costumes) for their "Headlines" performances.

WEBMASTER NOTES: How great to see the girls back on stage together where they clearly belong! Their stage chemistry is amazing and can't wait for more!

SPICE GIRLS ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE

Geri has appeared on UK morning show GMTV to announce the girls will be releasing a new single titled "Headlines [Friendship Never Ends]"

"It's out on the 19th of November and it's a ballad called Headlines. It's amazaing. A Spice Girls classic."

Geri also went on to say that they co-wrote the song with original writers that they used to coloborate with and that she is so proud of it. Emma & Geri started writing and then the other girls loved it and started to contribute to it.

The first line is said to be "The time is now or never" and is sung by Emma.

Webmaster Note: There wasn't supposed to be any new material released so this is amazing - I can't wait to hear it!

GIRLS HIRE TOUR CHOREOGRAPHER

Jamie King will be the Spice Girls' reunion tour director. Besides Madonna, he has also previously worked with Prince, Christina Aguilera on her Back to Basics tour, and Ricky Martin on his Black and White tour. Simon Fuller says:

"Jamie King was our first choice. He is one of the world's very best live show directors/producers & choreographers, having worked with all of the greats, including Madonna and Prince. He inspires great confidence in everyone around him. He is a terrific guy and the girls absolutely love him. Everyone has the same vision for this show, it will be a roller coaster of fun reflecting all the things that made the Spice Girls such a huge global Pop group."

Jamie himself says:

"Collaborating with the Spice Girls presents one of those exceptional opportunities to create a truly iconic live performance. As a group, their dynamic is provocative, compelling and undeniably sexy, which truly drives my creative inspiration. We are very excited to be able to show you the cover of our Greatest Hits album. We have all been involved with the design and are really pleased with it... we hope that you like it as much as we do. We wanted to use our official website to show it to the fans first!

As well as working on the album we have already started planning for the tour - we can't reveal too much but what we can say is that it is going to be amazing!! SPICE GIRLS ANNOUNCE TOUR & GREATEST HITS PLANS

The Spice Girls today, have made their loyal fans wishes come true by announcing that they will reform for a Greatest Hits album and reunion tour. The girls attended a press conference at the 02

to announce their return. The press were shown a short video to remind them what the girls had accomplished. The girls then answered questions and announced 11 dates in the UK, USA, China, Germany, Argentina, Spain, South Africa & Australia in December 07 & January 08.

At the moment there isn't to be any new material released, but there will be a documentary on the girls reunion.

The girls have said that the tour is about thanking their fans & celebrating the past. Also to close the Spice Girls chapter in a way that's fit for the biggest girlband in recent history.

Victoria also commented that the girls want their kids to see what they used to and can do.

The old Spiciness was there too - at one point a cheeky journalist asked if the girls thought they may be too old and unfit for the tour - causing Melanie B to run out into the audience and say "Show us your stomach then!". And the girls also stepped in to stop Geri when she began comparing the reunion to a divorce.

All in all it was great to see the girls in high spirits and happy to be together - Even Melanie C seemed glad to be part of the day.

SPICE GIRLS TO ANNOUNCE FUTURE PLANS

Eleven years after their debut single, Wannabe, swept to the top of the charts, inspiring fans of all ages to proclaim their eagerness to "zig a zig ah", the Spice Girls finally look set to confirm they are to reunite.

Yesterday, following fresh claims that a new album and world tour were planned, the group's management company, 19 Entertainment, said the band would make an announcement about their future plans next week.

SPICE GIRLS TO HAVE #1 IN 2007?

2006 was the Spice Girls 10 Year Anniversary, however 2007 could be the year when fans get to see them back together again.

According to celebrity phsychic Michele Knight and Eustacia Wroe, the Spice Girls will reunite in 2007.

Eustacia says: "Posh will take part in the Diana concert. The Spice Girls will release a song for the event which will go to No.1." Also mentions that Leona Lewis will knock them off the No.1 spot lol and that - even though David and Victoria move to America - she will have another attempt at pop!
